About Big Spring Tree Service

Big Spring Tree Service helps homeowners in Huntsville and Madison County reach a local tree company quickly, whether it’s a pine on the roof after a storm or a stump that’s been in the yard for years.

What we are, and what we’re not

We’re a referral service, not a tree company. We don’t have trucks, crews or climbers. When you call, we connect you with an independent local tree service company that works in your area. That company quotes the job, does the work and is responsible for it.

Our service is free to homeowners. You never pay us anything.

Why the name

In 1805 John Hunt built his cabin on the bluff above the Big Spring, and the town that became Huntsville grew up around it. The spring still flows in Big Spring Park downtown. We wanted a name that sounds like home to people here.

Hiring a tree company

Before you hire any tree company, including one we connect you with:

• Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers’ comp.
• Ask whether they hold an Alabama Tree Surgery permit from the Department of Agriculture and Industries.
• Get the price and scope in writing, including hauling and stump grinding.
